Objective: Is to give a synthesis of Structural Mechanics and Structural Engineering on basis of selected applications, to exercise the knowledge gained in the parallel courses in a context, and to widen the perspective on analysis and design of structural systems.

Course Outlines: This course will help to have an intuitive understanding of structural behaviour. This understanding will form a basis for analysis and design of building structures.It will encouraged to use information technology in the design process.

Further more, the students will obtain the ability to choose and adapt calculation models and methods appropriately on basis of a deep understanding of the physical behaviour, properties and limitations of the models,and with regard to the actual purpose of the calculations.

Focus on developing Covers analysis and design of building structures and structural behaviour in the service and ultimate states, typical structural systems and movements, Design and analysis of slab, Analysis of structures with regard to vibrations, Conceptual design of building structures and assessment of existing buildings.
